Summary
Kate's Kart is seeking to redesign their current website, utilizing new and improved systems and designs with a focus on video and storytelling through photos and testimonials. Having reviewed your current site and learned about your incredible impact—over 500,000 books delivered to hospitalized children across 42 karts at 25 hospitals—we understand this project is about more than just a website. Content Strategy
A great website first starts with great content. We'll work closely with your team to craft the best messaging and user journey for your audience.
This includes determining and refining the primary and secondary goals of the website. When every goal has equal importance, everything suffers.
From there, we'll develop your site structure, create content outlines, and build low-fidelity wireframes (building on the outline you've already provided). This allows us to focus on overall goals and messaging before diving into brand application.
Design
Once we've aligned on strategy and structure, we move into visual design, creating mockups that bring Kate's story to life through thoughtful use of color, typography, and imagery. After design approval, we build the site in Craft CMS so that you can easily manage content without needing technical expertise.

Photography & Video
We understand the sensitive nature of your target audience—children in hospitals—makes generating authentic photography challenging. To address this while being mindful of budget, we propose a hybrid approach:
AI-Generated Imagery: We always prefer the human touch, but AI can be an excellent solution for creating respectful, uplifting imagery that protects privacy while conveying warmth and hope. We can generate:
- Warm, comforting hospital room environments
- Abstract representations of reading and comfort
- Stylized illustrations of books and caring moments
Sample AI Video
Below is a sample of a quick prompt where we generated a video. This is just a quick example, no need to question who is pushing the cart! If we can't find strong stock photography or video we can explore generating multiple videos and splice them together for a more polished b-roll video.
Stock Photography & Video: We've allocated a $1,000 budget for high-quality stock assets that authentically represent your mission without compromising privacy.
Your Existing Assets: We'll optimize and strategically place your current photos, testimonials, and any video content you can provide from events like the Ice Cream Social or LEGO Day.
Vendor Partnerships: Borders Web Development partners with video and photography companies in the Fort Wayne area, our prefferred partner is Fort Wayne Marketing, for which we have a long-standing relationship and share office space.
Timeline
As a smaller shop, timelines can vary based on when a project is accepted. Typically, projects take 6-12 weeks to complete. Timeline's can be adjusted in both directions based on your needs and our availability. We are currently scheduling new projects in November 2025.

Terms & Conditions
A $1,000 deposit is required to secure your project in our schedule. Upon project start, a 50% payment ($9,250) is due, with the remaining 50% ($9,250 - unused photography budget) is due upon completion and launch of the website.
